Some Sorta-Old Music Reviews!

- Music

From May 15th 2016 to August 14th of the same year, I posted music reviews on what used to be my primary blog - These reviews covered Japanese albums, singles, and DVDs because that’s what I was into at the time.

I took them all down late last year after having a personal crisis of sorts. I’m not going to go into it here :-)

So, here are those deleted reviews! They’ll look a little funny - they’re in Markdown format, so some if it will look like gibberish, but most of it should be readable.

Out of these, I’m most proud of the Welcome! review. It’s a tricky album to talk about because it’s too hard to be a pop album but does not have hard rock/metal production. And then there was the question of “what exactly is Fuki Commune anyways?” I went back and rewrote portions of it after finding out that it’s Fuki’s solo project and not a band.

I’m least proud of the review for The Light Brings the Past Scenes. I wrote it relatively soon after watching it, and I was in full fanboy mode. I don’t agree with all of the praise I heaved on it, so be on the lookout for a more neutral review of it down the road.
